Terra Sanguinis [Earth Blood] is a vocalization and visualization of the Earth in pain and the Earth bleeding. The algae drips from the organ-like bioreactor onto a steel plate, an extraction representative of anthropogenic expansion, that sits amidst a large swath of rocks, referencing mines [which themselves resemble terrestrial wounds or scars]. The resulting sound functions as Earth’s shriek; a cry to be saved from our incessant mutilation. Earth’s blood is green, referencing greenness as a modern societal and commercial construct that is intended to disguise from our molestation of the natural world.
