Glass, steel, water, tree - rendered in AutoDesk Fusion 360
2021
Skyscraper is a simplified form of a skyscraper, made out of glass and steel, meant to illustrate the environmental cost of human expansion and industrialism. Divided into three chambers containing a tree, water, and air, the work directly references the natural resources, habitats, and life that are being destroyed or have been destroyed in order to accommodate our ever growing population and expanding urban centers.

Reflection is a series of installations intended to inspire the viewer to reflect on their inner selves. The viewer is meant to stand and look at themselves in the mirror. The feet indicate where to stand, and the text, reading “LOOK WITHIN,” directs them to examine who they truly are, not what they see reflected in the mirror . Life at this age in this city is often superficial, it’s important to take time to reflect on the self.
Installed at 3 locations in downtown Lansing/East Lansing.
