Fossil of a Semi-Conductor - Media Anthropology
12” x 12”
3D Rendered in Vectric Aspire
Intended to be carved out of High Density Foam using a CNC Router
2020
Media Anthropology is a way of understanding the current socio-cultural moment as defined by mass media and technologies. The artist created a fossil that represents our era: the fossil of a semi-conductor. Semi-conductors are the building blocks of every personal computing device that we use today, from desktop PCs to the iPhone. If there is one item that defines our era, it is the semi-conductor.
The carving was not completed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Green Roof - Ecological Prosthesis
Rendered in AutoDesk Fusion 360
2020
Green Roof - Ecological Prosthesis is a prosthesis for a city. The proposed building incorporates the construction of a green roof, an incredibly sustainable and eco-friendly way to build, into the city space as a template for future developments and an example of urban green spaces. The form of the structure is inspired by the Native American symbol of a Dragonfly, meant to represent rebirth and adaptation.
Habitat on Mars
Rendered in AutoDesk Fusion 360
2020
This piece is the final development of the Vessels project, in which the artist creates a habitat on another planet: Mars. The architecture of the structures is inspired by science fiction novels and ant hills, and is a proposal for what colonization of the Red planet could look like in the future.
